It appears that star quarterback Peyton Manning recently discussed his preferred post-game beverage. Out of all the beers in the world Manning chose coincidentally the official beer of the NFL Bud Light. Thus proving that even with all the money in the world you can’t buy good taste.
Left Hand Brewing Company agreed and thought that perhaps Manning’s penchant for Americas favorite macro-brew brand must have been due to an ignorance of fine craft beer. The company in a brilliant public relations move sent the quarterback three cases of Left Hand beer and a cute note explaining the gift. The note reads:
Just like you, we decided to call an audible and change the play at the line to provide you with some Colorado craft beer from Left Hand Brewery. We feel it’s a better play to call.
We’ll be cheering you on against the Patriots!

Left Hand spokeswoman Emily Armstrong said, “Left Hand of course has nothing but the utmost respect for Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. [This is] just a friendly nudge towards the wide offering of Colorado craft beer here in their home state. Broncos and craft beer – it’s what Colorado does!”
It was a friendly gesture by the brewery that resulted in a lot of positive press once the brewery tweeted the photo of the delivery. Proving that craft brewers can get positive press in creative and inventive way.
While I don’t have a pony in this years NFL post-season I will enjoy the Super Bowl with a collection of fine craft beer and I hope that more fans than ever leave the stereotypical tasteless macro-brewed light lagers and join me for an actual tasty cold one.
